Okay, by far, this was one of my favorite engagement shoots of ALL TIME.

Gorgeous, fun, cuddly couple who was completely in love. Trains. Wonderful lighting. Lots of laughter. Amazing weather. Beautiful trees. All of this makes =)

And... the best for last! We got soooo lucky!!! This was one of my favorite moments ever during an engagement shoot. Adrenaline was pumping like crazy in all of us I believe. =) We ran along side the train to a post that just so happened to be there for me to set my camera on, then I as trying to yell over the train to tell them to kiss (in between my bursts of laughter and sporadic excited jumping). It was SOOOO much fun!! =)

You guys are amazing!!!! I wish I could do your wedding in May in Vermont! I wish you both the best!! =)

I photographed Jenna & Jordin's wedding last August and I never got the chance to do a blog because I was slammed last season. This wedding was probably my favorite wedding of last year; the whole day was relaxed, rather than most rushed wedding days. Jenna & Jordin really took the time to enjoy their special day, celebrating their love with their family and friends. It was a wonderful sight to see how in love they are with each other. It's a wedding I don't think I will ever forget and I look forward to working with them in the future! =)

I had the extreme privilege of shooting Courtney & Phil's wedding last Saturday. They are two of the funniest and sweetest people I will ever meet. They are absolutely perfect for each other and anyone can see it; especially their friends and family. I was laughing so much throughout all of their pictures, and you'll see why in a minute. :) They know how to relax, enjoy life and have fun. Three of the most important things on any persons wedding day. The less things they're worried or stressed about, the more fun they will have. Nicole has been following my blog and Facebook page for a long time now, constantly praising my work and saying nice, encouraging things to me. She is such a beautiful person--inside and out. I really hope these pictures meet up with what you were expecting from me, Nicole! :)

Nicole and Rob are perfect for each other and both of them are total sweethearts. Anyone can see that they are very much in love. Just by watching the people who were at the wedding, I know they are very loved and cared about. :)

Their wedding was beautiful, perfect and SO MUCH FUN!!! Their reception was an absolute blast, (I'll do a blog of it in about a week). They had me laughing throughout the entire night; whether it was a toast, the father/daughter dance, the bouquet toss. or just ordinary dancing.

Jenna and Jordin are two fantastic people. Their shoot was a ton of fun and I was laughing basically all the way through it. :)
The looks they were giving each other throughout the shoot was a big thing I noticed.
Every time they looked at each other, the love they shared was evident to a complete stranger. It was beautiful. :)
They just compliment each other so well and I know they will have many happy years together in the future.

Caitlin & Jake: wedding

This was such a perfect day... Perfect weather, perfect couple, perfect wedding, perfect location, perfect love. =) I had an amazing day with Caitlin, Jake and my assistant, Ashley. The wedding was beautiful and there was plenty of time for pictures (which of course I love.) :) I feel so incredibly blessed to be able to take their wedding pictures... They are both great people and I have been looking forward to their wedding since I met them last August. I was laughing through their whole engagement session and also through their pictures at the wedding. Caitlin looked absolutely radiant and gorgeous all day. She is such a natural in front of the camera, as you will see below.

First of all, I'm sorry I haven't been blogging! Although, I haven't exactly had anything TO blog this Winter.
I have been having shooting withdrawals! I have been itching to do an engagement shoot in all of this beautiful snow, however, everyone wants to wait until Spring.
BUT! I found a fun, awesome couple that wanted their engagement pictures taken during the Winter.
I was counting down the days until the shoot, and finally on Saturday we did it!
I had a great time and Ashley & Tyler were both very laid-back and willing to climb through big snow drifts for me! (Which I appreciate very much guys!) :)
Also, the weather was absolutely perfect! It wasn't too cold and we even saw the sun and blue sky (which is a miracle of itself for February in Ohio). Anyways, enjoy!

I love the way they look at each other... Throughout the whole shoot I could definitely tell how in love they were. :)

Goldie & Alex: Wedding

I got a wonderful opportunity to do this fabulous wedding a couple of weeks ago. The bride, Goldie is Indonesian and the groom, Alex is Hawaiian.
They met in Hawaii and have such a cute love story of how they met. They are two great people and were treating me like a great friend as soon as they met me.
I am so thankful to Melissa for inviting me to go with her! There are not words to describe the amount of culture at this wedding.
The reception was absolutely beautiful. They hired a band and dancers from Hawaii to come entertain at the reception.
The mixture of Hawaiian and Indonesian cultures were breathtaking. I loved every minute of it, especially how I saw all of the parents teaching the children their dances and traditions to keep their history alive. I will never forget this day!

However, I may be just a bit biased since he is my nephew... Heehee =) He lives in Virginia, so this was my first time meeting him, although he was born in October. We took the kids to Carriage Hill for a little photo shoot since the out of town relatives are in. :) The boys had a blast running around and playing in the leaves. It was a little cold outside but we still had a great time and got some cute pictures of the kids.

This wedding was amazing!!! It was outside at the Vinoklet Winery up in Cincinnati. It was absolutely freezing outside!
But that half hour of golden, gorgeous light made the whole night worth it. We both got some amazing pictures and I'm glad it was outside, even if everyone was freezing.
Tracy and I couldn't straighten our hands out all the way, they were just stuck in the natural position of how we hold our cameras. :)
I am really glad I got the opportunity to shoot this wedding with Tracy. I had a lot of fun!!

If you look closely, in the background, you can tell this is the same spot where the picture was taken. :)

Courtney & Phil are a great couple. It was a little chilly that evening but they made the shoot fun and we were laughing most of the time!
They are just so full of life and laughter. I can't wait for their wedding, I know it's going to be awesome. :)
Courtney will be a beautiful bride next April. You guys did great!

Sam is a little boy that I babysit, he is such a sweetheart-always full of giggles and smiles. :) He just turned two recently and is constantly on the move haha. But it was a lot of fun to be able to take some pictures of him with his Mom and Dad. It was a beautiful fall afternoon and he loved being able to run aroumd and play. I hope you guys like them! =)

Erica & Brad are two of the sweetest people I have ever met... They are both really good people and treat everyone so nicely. The whole day was so relaxed and beautiful. They had an outdoor wedding and the weather cooperated for them, besides a little bit of wind. :) Erica was absolutely gorgeous and very calm throughout the day. Even when her bridesmaid found a black mark on her wedding dress, Erica stayed calm and didn't worry about it at all.

Photography Class

I am taking a photography class for fun at Sinclair this Quarter and it has forced me to do thinks I normally wouldn't do. For example... Having my brother shoot off fireworks from his hand. :) Or from the more technical aspect--Shooting when it's pitch black w/no flash, adjusting my shutter speed to allow motion. :) Or... climbing trees, making my dog model & some other weird things. But it's worth it! I hope in the end it will make me a better photographer.

I have known Aubrey & Conner Since they were babies and now they live in Alaska.
So... while I was there we visited them one day and I got a few pictures of the kids, they are so stinkin' cute! :)

While I was in Juneau, Alaska I went on a whale watching tour.

We saw a large group of Humpbacks and two of them swam right in front of our little Beachcomber boat!

It was such an incredible experience and probably one of my favorite things from the trip.

When it was right in front of our boat. It worried the guide a little bit :)

I had an awesome time in Vancouver, B.C. & Alaska!
Both places are very beautiful and I would definitely recommend going there if you get the chance!
The mountains were absolutely fantastic and so was our cruise. :)
I wasn't used to doing landscape photography when I came on thie trip but I got the chance to experiment!

Hey,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am leaving for vacation tomorrow and I won't be back home until the 12th of September.

This wedding was so much fun! This couple and their friends had me & Tracy laughing all day and night! :) They are a fun couple, as you can tell from some of these pictures haha. This family was so much fun to shoot! The mom was super laid back and very easygoing, not caring if the kids got wet or dirty. Which is a good thing because the entire session was in the rain! We were running around like crazy trying to get some good stuff. You guys were awesome! I liked t he ones under the pier the best. :)

This is my sister, Courtney. She lives in Virginia and I got to come out for a week to do her maternity pictures. I actually have to leave tomorrow morning. : (
I would love to stay at the beach! I'm actually considering working in Virginia as a photographer, also. I love doing sessions on the beach and around the area.
I think it would be a lot of fun if I could get a few jobs each time I came out here. Then I would be here a few times a year! =)

I loved this session! Cailtlin and Jake had themselves and me laughing the entire shoot. They are a really sweet couple and I'm happy they decided to have me be their photographer. I had so much fun capturing their personalities in pictures. Anyone can tell they really love her. A couple of the pictures shows Jake giving her the cutest expressions, you can tell he really loves her. :)

This couple was really sweet and they made my job soooo easy. Katie is gorgeous and extremely photogenic. They were married last Fall and I couldn't make it there unfortunately. I did these pictures for them because Nathan is leaving for Afghanistan in about a week. They asked me to take some of them together before he left and because they didn't get to have a photographer at their wedding. I will be setting up a blog for them pretty soon to let people know how he is doing and to pray for him. I'll post that when it's up and I ask that you remember our troops and pray for their safety while overseas. It realy meant a lot that they would ask me to do this and I had an awesome time with them. Thanks guys! =)

I had a lot of fun and the family was someone I knew when I was a child. The couple was very sweet and kudos to them for being married for 50 years!
